My Path to Alula

Over the past 15+ years, my work has spanned retail expansion, operations, leadership mentoring, and large-scale recruitment. I’ve partnered closely with leaders navigating growth — opening new locations, building teams from the ground up, and making critical people decisions in environments where the pace was fast, and the stakes were high.

In roles such as National Recruitment Manager for brands including Drybar and Pressed Roots, I led recruiting strategies during critical phases of expansion. I often worked alongside leaders who were balancing hiring needs with daily operations — without the systems or structure needed to make those decisions feel clear or sustainable.

These experiences shaped how I view hiring today — not as a transactional task, but as a foundational part of how organizations grow, retain talent, and build healthy cultures.

Why Alula Exists

Alula Talent Consulting was created in response to the hiring challenges I saw too often — rushed decisions, unclear processes, and leaders stretched thin trying to make it all work.

I founded Alula to help organizations slow down just enough to build hiring systems that are thoughtful, repeatable, and aligned with their long-term goals. My work focuses on bringing structure to hiring, mentoring leaders through people decisions, and strengthening retention as teams grow.

At its core, Alula is about balance — helping businesses grow without losing sight of the people who make that growth possible.

My Philosophy on Hiring

Over the years, I’ve come to believe that hiring is one of the most important decisions a business makes — yet it’s often treated as something that needs to happen as quickly as possible.
